Membership Coordinator

The SCA Membership Coordinator is an corporate officer and member of the SCA Board of Directors elected at a general membership meeting. The term of office is one year from the time of election. S/he is supervised by the Chairperson.

General Responsibilities:

  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall chair the Membership Committee and ensure that it fulfills the responsibilities as described in its committee description.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall initiate and follow up on the membership recruiting process when the co-op has vacancies, as outlined in the Membership Committee description.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall supervise and coordinate the activities of the House Membership Coordinators.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall maintain and file the records of the Membership system.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall create an agenda for all Membership Committee meetings and perform tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the committee.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall collect Membership Contracts from the members and file them in the SCA office, while ensuring that each member has submitted one and it is correctly validated for the current term.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator shall maintain a current membership list of the corporation.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator will co-supervise the summer interim coordinators/work-trade coordinators along with the SCA Chairperson during Summer term. The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for all hands-on Guardian items directly involving membership responsibilities.
  • The SCA Membership Coordinator is expected to attend quarterly board retreats unless excused 3 days in advance by the Chairperson.

Compensation: The SCA Membership Coordinator is compensated 6 job points.
